Who runs Training with Imagination?
Training with Imagination is run by, Helen Kendall-Tobias. Helen set up her own successful personal colour and style business, Imagination – Style Consultancy in 2005. From the very first day, her long term business plan was to concentrate on writing and training new students. Now with over 18 years real life experience working with clients, this is the next stage in her business.

The Colourflair method and colour course was first formulated and written in the 1980’s and since then the Diploma in Advanced Colour Analysis has become one of the most reliable in the industry and unique in its holistic approach.
The course was written by Pat Scott Vincent who held the City & Guilds award in Image Consultancy amongst others. She was also a founder member of the Federation of Image Consultants International (FIPI) and was past President and Fellow of the Organisation.
In 2024, after two years of on-off lockdown, interest in Colour, Fashion, Style and looking your best is as important today as it was 40 years ago, when Colourflair and the Colourflair system was first developed.
The course and materials have naturally been updated and developed over the years and offer a real foundation, if you want to become a Colour Consultant, running your own successful business.
Pat Scott-Vincent, the founder of the Colourflair system, passed away earlier this year (2024), but her legacy and method of Colour Analysis will continue in Training with Imagination and Colourflair – who will continue to train the Colourflair system in the re-launched Diploma in Advanced Colour Analysis with Helen as principal tutor.
Training with Imagination offers E-books, podcasts and webinars available to all image consultants, not just those trained by Colourflair, so please bookmark this site and make sure you come back regularly to see our new publications.
Our Colour Consultant Trade Price list supports students and consultants with Colour Fans and Drapes. We are working our way to becoming greener and are making decisions based on reducing our impact on the earth, its animals and its habitats. We have chosen some practices that will actively benefit the planet. For example, we no longer offer printed materials and provide course notes on a flash drive or via Dropbox. For every course that is sold we plant a tree and when a student qualifies we plant a further 5 trees to offset our carbon emissions. To this end we have recently designed a new mobile app which is exclusive to our consultnats.
Training with Imagination brings together the expertise of practising and successful colour consultants. They will of course teach you the knowledge you will need to practice in the field – but will also focus on setting up your consultancy, Business Planning, Sales and Marketing…and with our mentoring programme – ensure that your business gets off to a great start.
