Ultimate Grey and Illuminating are the pantone colours 2021 chosen by the Pantone Institute.
This is a quote from Leatrice Eismann of the Institute: “they are a marriage of colour conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting“.
When your client leaves a colour analysis session, they have a lot of things going through their minds. And it’s a fact that many people will only remember three key things, from any session. You will have introduced them to a whole range of colours that suit them. But, they will probably gravitate to one or two of the colours on their personalised swatch. They may not immediately love all the colours in their colour fan, just because they can wear them.
Yellow is a particular colour in point.
As a qualified colour consultant, you will realise how many people wouldn’t consider having yellow in their wardrobes. Although the same people may love yellow flowers intheir garden.
I’ve seen this time and time again in my own business. Clients once introduced to the shade that suits them – put their fears aside. They can start to be more adventurous with this colour. Taking baby steps to find a yellow T-shirt or scarf, before branching out into more expensive items.
Grey, of course, is an essential neutral when building a wardrobe. But just like yellow there will be a better shade for your client.
I didn’t have to look too far on the internet to find many examples of both the Pantone Colours 2021, or shades that are near enough, to make them appear like the colours of the year – as you can see in the picture.
