Yes. On successful completion of the course, you will have the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence required to offer colour analysis professionally. The training is designed to prepare you for real client work, with a strong focus on application, accuracy, and professional standards. As with any self-employed or consultancy-based business, long-term success depends on how you implement what you’ve learned, continue to practise, and build your experience — but the course provides a solid and credible foundation to begin working with clients.

Colour Analysis and Image Consultancy is a largely unregulated industry, and formal accreditation is not required in order to practise.

Our course was previously certified by AICI and accepted as an entry-level qualification for the City & Guilds Image Consultant Diploma. Due to the significant ongoing costs involved, formal accreditation was discontinued, although the course content and training methods have continued to be updated and refined.

January 2026: We are actively applying for accreditation for this Diploma Course.

Accreditation is only necessary in professions that are formally regulated and require a recognised qualification to work. In colour analysis, success is determined less by accreditation and more by the quality of training, depth of knowledge, practical application, and ongoing support. Accreditation does not guarantee results — your progress and professional success depend on how effectively you apply what you learn and build your skills in practice.

That’s a really sensible question, and one that quite a few people ask.

The course is designed specifically to fit around work and family life, so there isn’t a fixed number of hours per week or a deadline to complete it. Most people study in small chunks whenever they have time, rather than setting aside whole days.

The amount of time it takes really does vary from person to person. Some complete the Diploma in around 3-6 months, while others spread it over 12 months or even longer. There isn’t any pressure to rush – I’d much rather you really understand the material than race through it.

Only you know what your current workload feels like, but I would say that there is rarely a “perfect” time to start something new. Life has a habit of filling any space we leave for it! Sometimes beginning while you’re motivated, even if you only manage an hour or two a week, is enough to build momentum.

On the other hand, if you feel that your home/work life needs your full attention over the coming months, there’s nothing wrong with waiting until you know you’ll be able to enjoy the course rather than feeling guilty about not studying.

One thing to consider is what you’d like your situation to be in a year’s time. If colour analysis is something you know you’d like to do alongside teaching, starting now means you could be qualified much sooner rather than still thinking about beginning.
